How Do We Use Your Personal Data?

Visiting our Website

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate our website. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our website, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our business and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

Applying for a Role With One Of Our Clients

We will process the data you provide to us, as our legitimate interest for the purpose of submitting your application for that specific role. The data typically includes, but may not be limited to, contact details, career history, right to work information, education information, membership information, financial information, identity information, tax information and bank details. We will retain the data used for this purpose as per our business requirements from completion of the application process.

If the recruiting company (our client) asks us to perform background checks, they will be the controller of that process and we will be the processor. Their privacy notice will apply.

Contacting Us Generally

We will process the data you provide to us, as our legitimate interest, to respond to your query. We will retain the data used for this purpose as per our business requirements, to help resolve any matters that you’ve raised.

Working for Us

We will record the data you provide to us, for the purpose of entering a contract of employment. We ask that you do not provide us with any data that is deemed sensitive under European data protection law.

Further details can be requested from your recruitment contact.

Privacy — Your Rights

If you wish to make a data subject request, please email privacy@recruitment-heroes.com.

To help mitigate crime, we will require adequate evidence of your identity before providing our full response.

We will respond to your request within the statutory period and typically seek to resolve the matter within one month.

Other Matters

Where we believe processing is better performed by professional third-party specialists, we will outsource the processing to them under written agreement and under approved safeguards for any data that is transferred internationally.

Our IT systems are hosted in the UK. As such, all personal data will be processed in the UK under approved safeguards for data transfers, including EU standard contractual clauses where appropriate.

We do not sell or personal data to other data controllers without your consent.

Personal data will be shared with third parties where we have a legal necessity or obligation to do so. Examples include, but are not limited to, law enforcement agencies, tax authorities, legal advisors and criminal investigations agencies.

In the event of corporate merger or acquisition activities, the privacy notice of the controller will apply and data subjects will be notified by email of the transfer.

This Privacy Notice was written with usability and brevity in mind. If you require further information, please contact us using the contact details provided above.

We reserve the right to update this privacy notice at any time.

Cookie Policy

In some cases we may use cookies to collect personal information, or that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Recruitment Heroes Ltd.) are called "first party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third party cookies". Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g. like advertising, interactive content and analytics). The parties that set these third party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.

Why do we use Cookies?

We use first and third party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Websites to operate, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Online Properties. Third parties serve cookies through our Websites for advertising, analytics and other purposes. This is described in more detail below.

How can I Control Cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie rights by setting your preferences in the Cookie Consent Manager. The Cookie Consent Manager allows you to select which categories of cookies you accept or reject. Essential cookies cannot be rejected as they are strictly necessary to provide you with services.
